A Sustainable Hope-filled Future: New Junior School Building
In Term 1 of 1983, Trinity Christian School moved onto our current campus in Wanniassa. The building now known as ‘C-Block’ housed classrooms, a Principal’s office, a Secretary’s room and a staffroom.
As part of our long term maintenance and now renewal program, Trinity Christian School Council and the School Executive have been working with architects to undertake a major upgrade and refurbishment of ‘C Block’ – the oldest original building. C Block adjoins the School Shop and currently includes three Kindergarten classrooms, a Year 1 classroom and two staff offices.
This exciting development project is a significant step in delivering our ‘2030 learning environment’ and ensuring a sustainable future for the School.
In addition to the extra space and better design, the refurbished and extended building will be more energy efficient. It will employ many passive building design features and will utilise mechanical heating and cooling systems to assist in managing the environment in the building.
The beautiful new building and outdoor learning area will be open for use by the start of the 2020 school year.
The School has been successful in obtaining a capital grant from the Commonwealth government towards the cost of the complete redesign, refurbishment and extension of the existing ‘C Block’ and backyard play area.
